For people with right skills and aptitude, Journalism is the best profession. In early days printing media was the only means of covering news. But now with the help of journalists the entire spectrum of media is covered like print, radio, TV and the Internet. Reporters are sent out on assignment which they have to cover in a particular time. A journalist should specialize in all different areas. Correspondent: They have to cover stories related to specialized areas like films, art, events, politics, sports, foreign issues etc. Columnists: have to write for their assigned column. Feature Writers: Writes different features on particular topics. Critics: has to criticise on books, films, TV programs etc. Sub Editors: He has to edit and rewrite if he finds that the matter is inadequate. He collects and organizes material. Chief Editor: He has to engineer and frame the policy of production. Freelance Journalist: They do not work for any independent publication but they contribute occasional pieces.
